Do you pray to God like you are talking to a friend?

The unknown can chase us into a place of uncertainty. Where we wonder and speculate over things that may not even have happened. Suspicion or skepticism can play with our minds. If we do not surrender it in prayer to God.

1| Begin by telling God how you feel

  • Do you feel unsettled, perhaps even unsure about something? Plans are not definite and cannot be precise…
  • Do you feel hesitant or undecided about what to do next? Life brings periods of challenges and difficulties that are unavoidable…
  • Do you struggle to deal with the curveballs life throws at you? Sometimes in continuous succession…
  • Do you require God’s clear perspective to a situation you are faced wtih?

2| Learn how to pray through practice

  • Say whatever is in your heart or on your mind. Through confusion or chaos, tell God everything.
  • Know that God will turn your fears and doubts away from anxiety and apprehension…
  • If you ask, He will direct you to problem solve and uncover ideas that will propel you to innovation and excellence…

3| Consult God like a trusted counsellor or advocate

  • Your feelings of uncertainty could be due to – a specific choice, or decision, or trial or about the future.

Dear Father,

When my mind is consumed with questions and concerns… instruct me and show me the way I should go (Psalms 32:8)… by being present as I plan (Proverbs 16:1)… pray enquiring of God, what should I do? What do You want me to do?

When I wonder if God has forgotten me… remind me that You did not spare Your own Son, so how will You not graciously give us all things (Romans 8:32)… God, why do I feel abandoned? Reiterate Your constant faithfulness to me…

When I cannot understand why… disclose the plans You have for me that are long lasting and better than my own (Jeremiah 29:11)… seeking God’s heart in everything (v.13)… God, what plans should I pursue? Which should set aside?

When there seems to be nothing but problems… quietly repeat Your promises to always be with me no matter what I face (Isaiah 43:2)… pursuing Godly wisdom into every situation (James 3:17)… God, please give me ideas? Show me what next to do? Provide me with the answer/s to my problem/s?

Keep my mind in perfect peace because I trust in You (Isaiah 26:3)… God, bring divine peace to control my emotions and mind so that my heart remains unwavering in adverse times…

Love your daughter

Final thoughts…

God’s certainty will bamboozle all your misconceptions. You don’t have to feel condemned or cynical. Because God is your refuge through every trial and test. Hold on as no weapon formed against you can or will prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
