Hello Autumn! Time To Fall Into Writing

Are you inspired by the sight of natures painted leaves? Change begins. The leaves fall. Colours so brilliant and deep. Textures crispy and crumpled. Floating across the bordered clear blue sky. Fringed in golden sunshine.

‘If you wish to be a writer, write’ Epictetus

As the season uncovers. Days of kicking leaves and softening light follows. Enriched with slow radiance. Carried towards us is a calm repose. Gentle reminders to rest from life’s weary cares.

Does this mellow season convey a stage of newness? As the trees transform and the old leaves fall. The array of colours combined is simply breath-taking and stunning. October breathes cool crisp air. Prompting us that autumn is tip-toeing in. There is something warming about this season. Inciting a seamless time to shift. That adjusts your mood. Whether this season conveys inspiration. Or instils a decision to emerge. Now is the ideal moment.

‘Write like it matters and it will’ Libba Bray

This autumn I am preparing to publish my next book. What ideas have you been contemplating? Filling your dreamy quiet thoughts? Are there golden glows that light your day?  Filled with a heartfelt lay.

‘Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart’ William Wordsworth

Perhaps reluctant and waveringly as the brown tinged leaves fall. Bathed in pale ambers and auburn shading our path. Naked branches standing tall. Summer departs to enchant the land as autumn appears. Green dies in vivid intense colour. Every patch of grove and wooded floor a feast to our eyes. Leaves ablaze in splendid blush and copper. A sense of sadness fills the air as parting birds sing one last lingering song.

October yields us with beauty. Like the crimson sunset broadens the glorious sky. Varied tints of fading light fall across the diminishing day. Aglow for the marvellous dance of the moon. Rising high with mystical splendour beaming into the starlit sky. The mellow night shadows creep up. Enveloped with a hushed autumn breeze. As the stars wink through a hazy veil stirring our soul to begin. Imaginably sober but never dull. The doorway of awakening swings open. Merging daydreams and reality in the melting light. Charming our senses with striking colour and awe.

‘You don’t write because you want to say something, you write because you have something to say’ F Scott Fitzgerald

I always really appreciate reading your posts. This autumn theme is lovely! And today, the quote,‘Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart’ by William Wordsworth resonated with me. I think it is so true that we need to write according to our truths and to what brings us joy and life.
