We all have goals and a wish list of the many things we want to do with our lives. Challenges and unforeseen setbacks can come to us all. When confronted with a time limit on life where we are unable to do those things, suddenly we realise how short life is.

Too often it takes an experience where you have a ticking clock on life to make you think about regret. Possibly you might have thought about your own mistakes and have some regrets that come to mind.

Don’t hide your feelings. It is easy to surpass your own happiness by suppressing your feelings to keep the peace with others. And opt for a mediocre existence. Be honest. Never allow negative emotions such as bitterness or resentment to form as a result of things you wish you should have said.

Regret 4

Don’t lose touch with friends. Give friendships the time and effort they deserve. Because no attempts on your part to invest in nurturing rapport and links with others could lead to you watching relationships phase out. Or lose touch with people if you let life or disputes get in the way.

Regret 5

Don’t overlook being happy. Too often we forget that to be happy is a choice. Let go of old habits. Move away from your comfort zones. Push past the familiar paths to find new adventures and discover that the fear of change is only you holding yourself back from being content. Laugh, live, love. Enjoy every day and most importantly do the things you always wanted to do.
