How To Prosper Your Soul In 4 Steps

This is a world where instant communication is key. How much time have you spent on your smartphone or iphone in the last day?

The multiple uses for smartphone technology is growing daily. Can you remember how many times you posted on instagram. Updated your twitter or facebook feed in the last week? Are you constantly uploading posts? Updating your status? And adding likes?

The same is true with your thinking. When was the last time you updated the way you think to measure up with the Word of God? If you don’t, you will not be able to function in your world. To endure the struggles and challenges you face.

Think about these four points. And how you can measure your daily encounters to the Word of God. To update your mind-set.

1| To know God, you need to know His way of thinking.

What circumstance are you currently facing? What would God say. What would He want you to do. How does this situation make you grow in your test through difficulties. What lessons can you find in the hard times?

2| To grow, you need to update daily to the Word of God.

And His ways. Let go of negative feelings such as fear, unforgiveness, guilt. In order to allow God to work within your heart. You need to not limit what He can do.

Have you noticed that if you stop an app from updating, your phone may not perform properly. Or if you do not have enough space, your app will crash or not work to the optimum speed.

For God to favour you, He needs you to release all those things to Him. Declutter your thinking. Release your anxiety to Him. So that He can take you into the future He has for you.

Make space. Let God prosper your soul [3 John 1:2] to enable you to walk in truth and love. Respecting authority. And imitating Godly examples. The Bible is your starting point.

3| To walk a certain way, you need to know that way.

The direction you are choosing to walk in. You need to search for the truth. By studying God’s Word and applying it to your situation, this prepares you to grow in His truth and love.

Love allows you to do the right thing always. That does not mean that you cannot say no, it means you deal with every situation in love. So that God’s truth is revealed in your actions. The closer you walk with God, the easier it will be to walk in ways that are truthful. And say and act out of love.

4| To prosper, you must choose to help others.

Don’t be selfish. Extend ways by lending a hand to others. Don’t use control and manipulate relationships. Or talk about others behind their back. Or bully or intimidate others. Choose to exhibit respect because you walk in truth and love. Others will see that you are different. And want to know why. Because you are following God. And the examples laid out in God’s Word.

The full advantage of updating your phone apps is that you will obtain ‘new features’ and ‘bug fixes’. In addition to a great engagement opportunity!

Improved security with the Source of Life means you have enhanced functionalities. Love, respect and trust will fashion your steps.

Significantly, your performance will be boosted as you desire to seek after the characteristics of biblical examples who were successful because they chose to be faithful and committed to God.

Good analogy to our phones. I fear many of us are more conscious of updating our phones over our faith. Thanks for the priority adjustment!
