The Advent-ure In Unwrapping The Wonder Of Christ’s Birth

What is Advent?

A season of expectant waiting. And preparation. For the Nativity of Christ. The occasion of the Holy birth. A celebration of Christmas. And vision to remember the baby Jesus that was foretold [Luke 2:1-20]. With hope for His second return.

What does Advent mean to you?

It is more than a calendar. Or countdown to Christmas. There is a lesson of waiting. Being patient. As we remember those who waited for the birth of the Messiah. Ultimately knowing that God’s plan was devised before the foundations of the earth. That there is the date set by God for the return of the Bridegroom (Christ) for His Bride (the church) [Revelation 19:7].

Advent is a season to learn the importance of waiting.  Hear the whisper of your need for a Saviour. In expectation to know God’s timing is always best. I pray for awe and anticipation of this wondrous season to fill us with the wonder of Christ’s birth.

Here are 3 great resources to broaden your understanding. And celebration of Christmas.

1| A fun-filled recipe book. With Christmas facts, poems and an advent recipe for each day.

2| A paperback filled with codes and Bible parallels reminding us of the real meaning of Christmas.

3| A 31 Day Journey from the manager to the cross. In finding the promise of Christmas.
