Definition of Self-Sabotage [The conscious or self-conscious sabotage of oneself]

  • If you always analysing… ‘what if’ this or ‘what if’ that…
  • Using a means of self-defence because of past experiences and beliefs that were imposed…
  • Procrastinating as a way to self-protect from change…
  • Allowing destructive attitudes, negative traits and patterns to paralyse you from becoming successful…
  • Then you already have used self-sabotage as a means to protect yourself from yourself ~ however none of this will have long lasting positive effects if you continue…

Ways To Conquer Self-sabotage…

1. Reject negative thoughts and retain positive ones ~in the same way you wake up every morning and choose the clothes you wear; how to do your hair and makeup~ push aside the thoughts that pull you down and pervade you with negative self- belief that ‘you cannot’, ‘you not good enough’…

Envelope a new journey of affirmative self-talk counteracted with positivity… keep repeating this until you believe in yourself…

2. Stop letting past behaviours and experiences acquired from negative and destructive thinking affect your current and long term goals…

Start being the person you want to be by inventing and re-inventing that confident person… one free of disparaging thinking!

Be more optimistic about everything… even when making the smallest choices and decisions daily…

3. Self-defeat will do just that… if you do not change the way you think about what has happened to you… so will constantly analysing all options and allowing fear to paralyse you…

Even if you only chose one option at a time…you will help ‘you’ overcome and work against the ‘fear paralysis’…

4. Learn your patterns and triggers… halt them in their tracks when they return to bombard your thinking processes…

Start building a content life… doing things you love… don’t be afraid of succeeding…

Next make a conscious decision to separate yourself from destructive attitudes and negative traits (learned from others)… you will only succeed when you begin to regularly challenge these attitudes and traits…

Then begin creating your own new positive values, goals and beliefs…

5. When things get difficult or tough don’t quit… alternatively take time to breathe and rest… then start again…

Simplify your life… be wise with money… declutter… don’t hoard… this helps to organise and alleviate negative emotions that overwhelm your thought process…

Design yourself… get creative… be the person you want to be! Exercise… eat healthy… sleep properly… take care of your body… you only have one and it is a temple of the Holy Spirit.

6. Protect your time… this is the most valuable resource you have that cannot be reclaimed…

From distractions… from time wasting people… from doing trivial things like wasting time using social media…

In creating anything of value, you need to do the hard work… be responsible for your life… they are your thoughts… choices… decisions… actions… emotions…

Stop blaming other people….

7. Plan but don’t just make plans and never take action…

Don’t always be hard on yourself… be gentle to yourself as you progress…

Let go of the negative talk and story you tell yourself ‘about yourself’… it’s doing nothing to your self-worth…

Stop listening to the lies of the enemy that are only seeking to destroy hope…

Be more in control of the toxicity of self-sabotage… and initiate a life of freedom overflowing with carefree fun and love …

Your destiny is in front of you… eradicate the past…

Today is the start of an amazing future!
