Build Self-confidence…

  1. Challenge each negative thought with a rational one… begin learning how to do this… through practice…. write it down… this helps you to see if the thought was wrong or just negativity debilitating your self-confidence…
  2. Devise an achievement log…
  3. Be positive of your decisions even if others criticise you…  check ‘where am I now, where do I want to be  and how am I going to get there?’
  4. Look at your strengths and weakness … threats and opportunities…
  5. Then articulate your life plan into action by… maximising your strengths… minimising your  weaknesses… realise opportunities and control threats…
  6. Negative talk will defeat self-confidence so learn how to manage your mind…
  7. Stress is a major dividing line between self-doubt and self-confidence… usually originating from the thoughts that what you have (abilities or resources) is not suitable to help you face (demands or restraints)…
  8. Are you feeling threatened by something?  Then find ways to control the threat…
  9. Interpreting your own perceptions to situations and people helps to identify triggers quicker and quicker… making you savy every time… turning mistakes and failures into valuable lessons… therefore diverting you from difficult or even potentially dangerous situations in the future…
  10. In most situations we feel we have to be hard on ourselves unlike the way we treat others… this continuous negative talk can make us develop self-doubts and lack confidence…
  11. Learn how to boost your own self esteem… trust your gut feeling…
  12. Make lists ~ things you proud of … things you have achieved… your positive progress… keep them to read when the tough times appear…
  13. To avoid failure… be prepared… research the topic… know what you doing… where you going….
  14. Good body language and a great image help too…
  15. Don’t take yourself so seriously… laugh at your flaws… admit mistakes… learn from them… move forward… never stall…
  16. Most importantly capturing everything to the authority of God’s Word and clinging to His promises cultivates hope…
