2 Things Rejection Teaches Me…

Sometimes when you wrestle with issues, it can be tough. o the point where you cry out to God in distress.

It can be a struggle…
It can be wrestle…

God wants us to cry out to Him repeatedly.

  1. He wants us to bring our distress to Him…

  2. He wants us to bring our emotions to Him…

For a number of months now, I have been praying the prayer… Your Will be done.
This isn’t an easy prayer, but it is a prayer of trust.  Because, not always is my will in line with His.

Recently, I have felt a peace that no matter what happens, if Christ’s will is done in every area of my life, then that is all that is important.

At times we struggle because we feel God is silent…
Or we encounter rejection from people…
But, He assures us that our hope should only be in Him. If we cling to His promises and ‘Be still and know that He is God’ – then we will see the salvation of God in our situation.

At this season of Lent, it helped me realise, that though we will face rejection in some way or another, we can always turn to the ‘Man of Sorrows’ because He bore our transgressions. He walked the dark, lonely road to Calvary and He faced the ultimate rejection known to man.

We despised him and rejected him – a man of sorrows, acquainted with bitterest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way when he went by. He was despised, and we didn’t care.

Isaiah 53:3 (TLB)
