Christmas Eve…

On the Eve of Christmas… I wonder what you thinking…

Is there something you would like to do?

Is there something you are unable to do?

Is there a secret wish on your Santa list?

Is there a deep desire that perhaps only God might know?

I think the season all begins with Christmas… And it starts with Christ…

He is the reason we can enjoy the festivities…

He is the reason we look forward to time with family and friends…

He is the reason we have hope…

Because the star shone that first Christmas, when Christ was born… and it still shines today…

Have you taken the time to notice the wonder of the moment?

Have you taken the time to stop and find room in your heart to fit Him in?

Perhaps, you are unable to do the something you would like to do, because it is too late or the moment has past or sadly things have changed…

Perhaps, the only wish on your list this year is to feel the joy of the season… you may have suffered disappointment or bereavement or heart break…

There is hope… if you believe…

There is hope… because Christ entered our world as a babe…

So unexpected, that we don’t even notice, because we so busy and have more important things to do.

So unexpected, that we dismiss His presence and give him the stable… because there is no room in our busy schedules and lives for Christ.

This Christmas, I have a secret wish that only God can answer… but I’m taking a minute or two with this Eve of Christmas to pause and reflect…It started that night when Christ was born… when the wise men followed the star… when the shepherds heard the angels proclaim… when Mary laid her first born son in a manger…

It can start in your heart too… just make some room for Christ this Christmas.

God has given a Son to us. His name will be Wonderful Counsellor, Powerful God, and Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)
